NOTICE OF SUMMER TAX BILL DEFERMENT/DELAYED PAYMENT UNTIL FEBRUARY 14TH
Notice is hereby given, under MCL 211.51, that property taxpayers may defer until February 14, 2024, without penalty or interest, the due date of summer property taxes on their principal residence. To qualify, total household income cannot exceed $40,000 for the 2022 calendar year, and one of the following must be met:
- 62 years of age or older, including the unmarried surviving spouse of a person who was 62 years of age or older at the time of death.
- Paraplegic, Hemiplegic or Quadriplegic
- Eligible Serviceperson, Eligible Veteran, Eligible Widow or Widower
- Blind Person
- Totally and Permanently Disabled
This form must be completed and filed with your local
Treasurer by September 14, 2023. If you defer your summer taxes, they will be due and payable on February 14, 2024. On February 15, 2024 additional penalties and interest will apply. Contact City Treasurer Dawn Sawicki-Franz at (810) 724-2135 or treasurer@imlaycity.org to request a form.
