PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED

FY 2025-2026 BUDGET

The City of Imlay City is giving public notice of the availability of the FY 2025-26 budget proposal as submitted by the City Manager to the City Commission pursuant to the Imlay City Charter Chapter 8, General Finance. Copies of the budget proposal are available at City Hall, 150 N Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan 48444 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM and Wednesday between the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

A public hearing on the FY 2025-2026 budget proposal will be held at City Hall on Tuesday, May 06, 2025, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as may be heard.  The proposed property tax millage rates to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

The estimated 16.9637 mills are levied on the taxable valuation for the purpose of meeting operating requirements of the General Fund, approximately 2.3930 mills levied for road and sidewalks and 1.3955 mills levied for the fire hall for the fiscal year of 2025-2026.
